Where to Get a Free Website!

There are many places that offer a free website. First let me clarify what I mean by free website. I mean space online for some web pages, not necessarily a domain name (domain name is the web address for a website, ex: www.YourName.com).
So where are these places? Well, I've listed a few of the top free places you can get a website. Also it's important to know that many of the web providers will display ads on your site in exchange for having a free website. Although there are a few provides that provide web space that's add free.
Geocities.com - they offer some great free web services including a free website. An account with them comes with FTP access, web based file manager, and an online editor that you can edit your pages with as well. They are currently owned and run by Yahoo.com
Awardspace.com - is a favorite among many Internet users. They offer banner ads, php/mySQL, and FTP uploads with 200MB space, 5GB monthly transfer. Thats pretty impressive and hard to beat!
Freewebs.com - I believe they are newer to the scene. They have a easy to use web page editor that seems very user friendly. There user interface and web pages look similar to a blog interface.
pages.google.com - Interestingly, Google also offers free web pages. I've never used it but It looks interesting.
50webs.com - This web provider supports multiple sub-domains, FTP as well as database. And as the name indicates that offer 50 megs of transfer a month.
Myfamily.com - They have unlimited storage space, 100 MB transfer a month as well as backup protection. Although it looks like they are advertising their web space is for family web pages.
100webspace.com - This provider offers PHP support and database support. In exchange for free web space they place Google ads on your site.
funpic.org - They provide 2500 mb of web space, and support for PHP, 8 FTP, and 8 MySQL databases.
justfree.com - They offer FTP access, MySQL databases, and a web based site manager.
Your Own PC - Lol, well actually it is a great web provider. If your computer savvy you can download a web hosting software such as Apache and host your website on your own computer.
